  1. You put us all to shame, Hazel! Lovely plates of goodies to share. I always have good intentions. Are you planning on sharing more about the cookies in the photos that you haven't talked about yet? :)

  2. Hi Hazel,
I am Becky's friend from Washington. She told me about your wonderful blog and I really enjoy reading it!
I have a 16 y.o. daughter who wants to learn to cook & bake, so I am learning a lot from reading your blog and watching you cook & bake with your daughter.
    Thank you!
    Leigh

  3. Becky,
As you can see, most of these cookies are the ones Rosalind and I baked and featured here. Oh the beauty of "freezable" cookie dough!

My friend Traci and I made the ones with the blue/green swirl. These were also Sable cookie dough; we just colored half the dough bluish green.

The gingerbread people and trees were sugar cookies (recipe from Martha Stewart's Cookies cookbook). These were great for kids to decorate because they were sturdy but I do prefer sugar cookies a little softer or flakier.

So I don't know about putting anybody to shame because all the dough was already in the freezer; I just popped things in the oven!
